Hillwood Sure Arsene happy at Emirates

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood is confident manager Arsene Wenger will extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium to many years to come.

Wenger is in his final year at the Gunners helm and so far has not committed to signing a new deal in the aftermath of his close ally David Dein quitting from the position of vice-chairman over the issue of a takeover in April.

Thereafter, the French boss has been surrounded with rumours and has been linked with Real Madrid.

Nevertheless, Hill-Wood is certain that Wenger, who joined the Gunners in 1996, is happy at the north London club.

"I don't see any problems with the situation and I think it will be agreed in the not-too-distant future," he said.

"I'm sure he's happy here and he's building a great young team which is exciting for everyone."
