Sparta Prague had to settle for a point as their first away game of the season ended in a goalless stalemate on Saturday. The trip to Plzen, who finished sixth in last season’s Gambrinus Liga, was Sparta’s last fixture before hosting Arsenal at the Toyota Arena on Wednesday. Sparta have scored just once in their opening two games, however a 1-0 scoreline was enough to earn all three points against rivals Slovan Liberec on the opening day. Arsenal will face Sparta Prague in the first leg of their Champions League Third Qualifying Round tie on Wednesday, August 15.
