Arsenal latest: Rosicky out for blackburn game.

Saturday, August 18, 2007

Rosicky out for blackburn game.

It was revealed in the manager’s regular Friday press conference that Rosicky, along with Emmanuel Eboue picked up a slight knock to his knee during the Gunners' midweek victory in Prague.
“Eboue is out for Sunday and now Tomas is out with a knock on his knee,” said Wenger. “We had a few knocks on Wednesday, some have recovered and some have not.”
But encouragingly for Arsenal, their attack will be bolstered by the imminent return of injured strikers Emmanuel Adebayor and Eduardo da Silva.
Eduardo has failed to get a foothold on a starting place after suffering from ankle problems in the pre-season, however Sunday will see the Croatian make his first Premiership appearance for his new club.
“Eduardo might be back,” said Wenger. “I'm not sure if he will start because he has not done a lot yet. He had a little session today, but that was the first time with the team. He will have a test tomorrow morning and then I will decide.
“At the moment I am tempted to say no but he will be in the squad. If he is OK physically that means there's no big pain in his ankle but I will see. He is a brave player,” he concluded.
Wenger added that Adebayor could be fit for next Saturday’s game with Manchester City at Emirates Stadium.
